Lead Teacher 9-12 classroom

Cedar Tree Montessori Elementary School (CTM) is seeking a 9-12 lead teacher for the 2010/2011 school year. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative, friendly and professional team. Minimum requirements include: 6-12 Montessori certification. Candidate must be able to work collaboratively with an assistant and communicate effectively with both parents and students. Benefits include full medical insurance and twelve days leave. Salary is competitive for our area.

CTM, founded in 1999, is a small, nonprofit school with one lower and one upper elementary classroom in a recently remodeled building. You will join one lead teacher/director, four assistant teachers, an administrative assistant and a close-knit parent community.

Mount Baker is 90 minutes away, haven for snowboarders and skiers. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking and kayaking in nearby forests and the San Juan Islands. We enjoy a wide variety of cultural opportunities afforded by Western Washington University, Seattle, and Vancouver, BC.
