We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Montessori Primary Teacher to join our educational team for the 2025 – 2026 school year. The school year begins September 3, 2025; training and class set up begins August 25, 2025. Our ideal candidate would be a team player, who wants to make the difference in the lives of children. Candidates must be detail-oriented, work well as a team member, be experienced in classroom management skills, and have a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the environment and lessons in all subject areas.

  • Maintain student records with regard to attendance, achievement, and report-writing.

  • Maintain the classroom and prepare the environment, creating new materials

  • Mentor the classroom assistant and build a collaborative relationship with them

  • Prepare for and participate in regular parent-teacher conferences as set forth on the school calendar.

  • Attend and participate in various evening meetings, as required.

  • Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with students, families, and other staff members

  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Montessori certification required.

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and educational assessment tools.

  • DCYF requirements: Merit certified, completed back ground check, food handlers permit, TB cleared, MMR vaccination, 30 initial training hours or educational exemption and 10 Merit credits per year.

  • CPR, First aid and BBP training will be provided during training week.

Yearly 10 month salary $55,000.00 – 65,000.00 depending on education and experience. Summer employment also available.
