Location: Poulsbo, Washington
We are looking for a lead Montessori guide for our small school in Poulsbo. Our class size is 20 students, with 4 open classrooms. Our current staff consists of two assistants and a teacher's aide with overlapping shifts. We are open 10 hours per school day, from 7:30am to 5:30 pm, providing 9 hours of care for families. Morning classroom work is from 7:30 to 11:30 with a break for breakfast, and a playground session in the summer. The afternoon portion of the day includes lunch, recess, rest time, and more outside play-based learning.
Our lead shift is 7:15am to 2:15pm with the potential for more hours as needed. We offer competitive wages based on experience and previous pay, one-hour paid breaks, and PTO. We are open year-round with two summer breaks, and we follow the North Kitsap Schools calendar. There is room for growth, and admin work is optional. Our program is flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of students of varying ages from 2.5 to 7 years old. We offer kindergarten materials for students as well.
