Shamrock Montessori is seeking a dedicated, flexible, and nurturing Floater Teacher to join our team of educators.

We are seeking a warm, nurturing, and dependable Chinese-speaking Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our Christian Montessori School in Bellevue. This role supports the Lead Teacher in creating a peaceful, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers, grounded in Montessori principles and Christian values.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in preparing and maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting Montessori classroom
• Support the social, emotional, spiritual, and developmental growth of each child
• Help guide children in daily routines such as toileting, handwashing, meals, and rest time
• Model grace, courtesy, and respect in all interactions with children and staff
• Observe children and communicate progress or concerns with the Lead Teacher
• Foster a calm and positive classroom environment aligned with Montessori philosophy
• Integrate age-appropriate Christian values, stories, and practices into the daily routine
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
• Assist with classroom management and transitions throughout the day

Qualifications:

• Experience working with toddlers (ages 12 months–3 years) preferred
• Understanding of or willingness to learn Montessori philosophy and methods
• Passion for early childhood education and child development
• Experience in developing lesson plans for a targeted age group
• Alignment with the school’s Christian mission and values
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, compassionate, and reliable
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Background check required
 

Preferred Qualifications

• Chinese (Mandarin) speaking
• Montessori training or coursework
• Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits or certification
