Orcas Montessori School is seeking a Montessori-certified Lead Teacher to guide our mixed-age preschool classroom. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, community-centered nonprofit school rooted in authentic Montessori philosophy.
We are a year-round program located on beautiful Orcas Island in Washington State, offering a unique opportunity to teach in a close-knit island community.
The Lead Teacher will prepare and maintain the classroom environment, present lessons based on individual readiness, observe and document student progress, foster independence and respectful behavior, and collaborate closely with assistants, families, and administration.
Required
AMI, AMS, or equivalent Montessori certification; preschool/primary classroom experience; strong communication skills; ability to meet Washington State licensing requirements.
