We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Montessori educator who is excited to teach and grow with our school. About the Position
Lake Meridian Montessori School is looking for a Montessori Lead Teacher to begin immediately (January 2026 start). This is a full-day lead teacher position in our Early Childhood classroom serving children ages 3–6.
The Lead Teacher will be responsible for leading and teaching all areas of the Montessori curriculum, managing the classroom, and guiding classroom assistants. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to the success of the classroom and the school community.
Responsibilities
- Lead and teach all areas of the Montessori curriculum
- Serve as the full-day Lead Teacher for the Early Childhood classroom (ages 3–6)
- Handle all classroom duties and classroom management
- Guide and provide leadership to classroom assistants
- Weekly and monthly curriculum and lesson planning
- Classroom preparation and organization
- Track and monitor student progress
- Conduct and participate in parent conferences and meetings
- Work collaboratively as a team player and support other staff as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working in a classroom or preschool setting with children ages 3–6
- Experience in a Montessori preschool (required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Montessori Certification (required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Dedicated to their classroom and its success
- Ability to provide strong leadership to assistants
- BBP Training
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- STARS training
- Commute to work location on weekdays
